Been testing out this new Trend Move screener I built, and the backtest results actually look pretty solid so far.
The screener itself is pretty simple-
• looks for stocks where the previous candle’s upper wick is unusually long (1.5x the body),
• today’s high is greater than yesterday’s high
• and volume is stronger than the 14-day avg.
Basically trying to catch early signs of strength + hidden buying pressure.
While going through the backtest, a few names really stood out with surprisingly good numbers - MGL, Jubilant Ingrevia, Anant Raj, Kirloskar Oil Engines.
Some of these have 80–94% win rates, clean avg returns, and pretty reasonable TP/SL levels. Way better than I expected for such a simple setup.
I’ve set alerts on the screener now. want to see how these behave in real time if they show up again.
